probs much to the surprise of no one. . .

i am just so thrilled with the lovely state of life and SUMMER!

on their own they are too good but together they are just, TOO GOOD & maybe it helps that this is what i'm pretty certain is the best summer ever :)

ok, it hasn't been perfect but it might as well be!

a lot of serious (serious in a meaningful way, not simply serious subjects) thinking/pondering/questioning has been happening over the past few months (it started when i was in greece) and as i've thought about and questioned and pondered the same sorts of things i have watched them take root in my life and begin to effect the way that i do life.

in general these ponderings have included:
LOTS of thinking about humanity;
-- it's past states (when i think about things being bad today i always end up thinking about crazy times in the old testament; i.e. the end of the book of judges).
-- it's current state, particularly how much love people need (both to give and to receive) in light of what they're actually giving or actually receiving.
-- humanity in view of other religions & other people's thoughts . . . hinduism teaches that life is not unfair because in the very end the end will justify the means and this life will lead to a new one which will lead to a new one which will eventually lead to the soul becoming one w. itself, one w. god and things will be balanced. if this were to be true, to what degree do individuals effect other's lives? what does life mean if it's cyclical?

as well as lots of thinking about humanity in light of what i believe to be true about Jesus
and the atonement of sins
and my role as a follower in a world wallowing in sin.
this has, really awesome-ly, lead to lots of good questioning and brain-picking with friends and acquaintances as well as several opportunities to share my faith w. people.
it's been really really cool.

there's been more, a looot more, but as i leave for school in one week (and still do not have a place to live, ah!) i should pack.

ok, packing... packing... p a c k i n g . . .
