this should come as no surprise to anyone, but i just wanted to re-state my undying affection for this bizarre country i have come to love so dearly.
on tuesday afternoon, after a long and sleepless flight, sam and i arrived in zurich before catching our 6pm flight for rome.
before we left the states communications with vale had gotten lost in translation so when we arrived at a fiumicino we were basically destination-less (as well as exhausted!). we ended up on a bus that took us to termini where we found a pensione and decided to stay there for the night.
valentina got ahold of us around 9:30 and we made plans to meet her at termini at 10 the next morning.

gone out for tiramisu
spent a lot of time waiting for/being on buses :) (woo hoo, public trans!)
eaten vale's most delicious cooking
seen a protest
hung out with alessandra, our friend from isernia, and had dinner at her place
drank lots of espresso
seen giancarla and the babyyy! YAY!
and since friday SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED!
gosh, and i thought rome was going to be boring. HAAA.
hopefully i will have reliable internet again soon (it has been horriiible here), so i can post peeetchas and things.
