my life is

AWSOMEEE.

a short synopsis of the past five wonderful days:

catharsis [kuh-thahr-sis] the purging of the emotions of relieving of emotional tensions, esp. through certain kinds of art, as tragedy of music.

as much as i despise junk, there is some sentimental part of me that cannot bear to part with stuff. (and by stuff i mean things that were significant once upon a time; letters from boys i used to like, old generic birthday cards, random receipts and things of the like, old bottle caps, etc. i.e. : useless crap). when we lived out at hamilton cove i had a drawer in my desk that was dedicated to all my "stuff" and when we moved to the new house, my junior year of high school, the contents of that drawer went into a box which then ended up in the corner of my closet where it was subsequently forgotten about.

until wednesday.

after a few days of much needed veg-out afte time i set to work on the big project i am determined to complete by wednesday the 10th; a room detox.

the detox started with the bookshelves and drawers, easy enough.
...the result of this was a large pile of books which are no longer of any use to me and a trash bag full of old school assignments (sick, i know), magazine articles and an assorted variety of other expendables.

somehow this eventually caused me to end up in my closet where i happened upon the box:
the primary sources of my school years 6th-10th and past-things most dear to my heart.
quite unlike i remembered everything, there was (so overwhelmingly) A LOT there.

i can't do much in the way of trying to explain how bizarre an affair this was, but it was very strange and provided a most cathartic experience.
anyways, i think i'm about halfway through this "detox" and will be more than thrilled when it is over.
